I have never seen so much salt in my entire life in one place๐๐ป 1/2 The Salinas de Maras; The salt ponds where high quality salts is extracted by the locals. Found at 3,380m above sea level.
Salinas de Maras; The salt ponds are being harvested from the patchwork of shallow pools thru a process of evaporation. High quality salt are being sold from 3,000 pools harvested by the community.
This view just takes your breath away (literally). At the sight of the glaciers,you forget all the back pains,weary legs & heavy breathing. Knowing that I have to make it to Humanity lake at 4,200m got me so excited to see my first marked goal.
Everything you ever wanted is just at the limit of your comfort zone๐๐ป I MADE IT TO GOAL 1- 4,200m above sea level. Did you know that Humantay lake is made from glacier melts freezing water

And the shadows of the INCA ruins starts to shine. The energy is unbelievable in this place. ๐
